This project was split up into different assignments: make puppet, mock trial, test, and essay. I made a puppet of Jean Paul Marat, a French revolutionist that contracted a terrible disease. I chose the task of interrogating Marie Antoinette. The test and essay were on the same day. The essay prompt was, "Was the French Revolution truly a revolution?" We were given weeks prior to test day to prepare for the essay.
I learned much about the causes, the events, the effects after, and people of the French Revolution. I learned that the American Revolution and people from the Enlightenment like Jean-Jacques Rousseau influenced the revolution.
I am continuing to cultivate my public speaking skills. Though I may have done poorly during the Mock Trial, I did well trying to get better at speaking and defending my opinion.
There was no collaboration sheet to fill out, but I think the radical side as a whole did well working together and communicating with one another. Everyone was very helpful.
